Prelude - A Different Reaction, a Different Story

Once upon a time, there was an angsty, balding man named Tyrule Orchid. Being the sole male heir of the Orchid Empire, Tyrule was given one job to prove himself capable of the throne. His mission: to protect one single fortress in the Orchid Fields for at least a week.

"This'll be easy," he thought to himself, "Nothing ever happens on Orchid turf. I'll be an emperor in no time!"

He thought wrong.

On Tyrule's first day as protector, trouble was'uh comin' his way. An energetic, eccentric man by the name of Turquoise Blues was exploring the Orchid Fields, looking for something fun to do. Ignorant of danger, Tyrule paid no attention to the invader, and with one swift kick, Turquoise demolished the foundation of the fortress, leaving Tyrule and his aspirations under all of the rubble.

In theory, Tyrule would be absolutely furious! And he did feel some anger.

But this is a different story.

Turquoise apologized at the scene as Tyrule rose from the ruins, hardly scratched. Tyrule sighed, shrugged, and forgave the strange man. The two got to talking and bonded in a brotherly way. Turquoise offered Tyrule a room back at his house. Tyrule accepted.

So what is the difference here?
What makes this story different than Warz & Battlez?
And why is everything in Black and White?
What does the creator have to gain from this?
What's the point?

...

So from then on, Turquoise and Tyrule were buddies. They spent time at the Teal-Walled House, playing games and having weird conversations. They met Teko Tock, who also took residence in the house. And to unwind from stressful interactions with The Bear, they took up fishing at the local pond, where they meet and chat with The Fish. Oh and Turquoise's family comes around too. And The Bear's family. And some other people, but not too many people. But a lot do show up and say some stuff.

Seriously, why is this a different comic than the first one?
Is it because Tyrule didn't get very mad?
Wait, is it really that?
But that's ridiculous. Why wouldn't he be mad?
Wait, Tyrule and Turquoise already met in the first comic.
Is this a different timeline?
